Text Enhance is a browser extension that displays advertisements in text link form. This plugin as any other, gets installed on your PC when you view malicious links or download freeware from unauthenticated websites.

Text Enhance is a browser plug-in which shows text link ads to its users. You may see text enhance ads even if you don’t have this particular browser plug-in installed. Such situations occur when users download free software from the Internet which comes bundled with additional unwanted browser plug-ins, causing text enhance ads to appear.

Some examples of browser add-ons which are known to cause text enhance ads to appear: Facetheme, VidSaver, I want this, FB PhotoZoom and the like. Remove the Text Enhance infection

Method 1:

Uninstall Text Enhance from Windows Computer

Click on Start, choose Control Panel, Find and select Programs and Features. Look for the TextEnhance App, select and uninstall it from the PC. And also look for ‘I Want This’, ‘Yontoo’, ‘FB PhotoZoom’, ‘Software Assist’, ‘Facetheme’, ‘Vidsaver’ etc. These are also malicious apps which allow Text Enhance to enter your computer.

Remove Text Enhance from Google Chrome

  1. Click on Customize Icon and Navigate to Tools>Extensions
  2. Find Text Enhance plugin and remove it from the browser.

Remove Text Enhance from Firefox

  1. Navigate to Tools>Add-ons
  2. On the Extensions and Plugins, find Text Enhance plugin and remove it.
  3. Directly press CTRL+SHIFT+A to get Add-ons.

Remove Text Enhance from Internet Explorer

  1. Navigate to Tools>Manage Add-ons
  2. Click on Toolbars and Extensions tab.
  3. Find the related extension of Text Enhance plugin and remove it.

After uninstalling all the plugins, replace the home page and start up pages with your preferred pages.

Method 2:

  1. Open My Computer and navigate through the paths below to delete files associated with Text Enhance:
    %AllUsersProfile%\Application Data\random.exe
    %UserProfile%\Start Menu\Programs\Text-enhance.com\Uninstall Text-enhance.com.lnk
    %UserProfile%\Start Menu\Programs\Text-enhance.com\Text-enhance.com.lnk
  2. Open RUN and enter ‘regedit’ to open Registry Editor. Go through the entries below and delete these Text Enhance entries:
    HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run “.exe”
    HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\System “DisableTaskMgr” = ’1′
    HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Download “CheckExeSignatures” = ‘no’
    HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main “Use FormSuggest” = ‘yes’
    HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\Advanced “Hidden” = ’0′
